I suspect that most things that I think are hard really are not that hard. Perhaps, they are painful, but they are not impossible.
I am going to attempt my first Ironman 70.3 this weekend. I've been swimming for about 3 months. I have run 2 half marathons. I've only ever biked for fun; I use my mom's bike that she rode in high school. I haven't serviced it once.
I am going for completion. I honestly don't know what it will feel like to complete all three of these activities in succession. In my mind, I hold two thoughts: I can do it, and this is going to hurt and ache.
My pseudo grandma says this often which I think is quite fitting: "What can I do?".
Let's see what I'm made of.
